Galunggung Mountain is a mountain in Tasikmalaya West Java. This place is one of the beautiful place in Indonesia that presents beautiful scenery such as: a green environment, good view crater, natural area, and many more.
Talking about it's story, this mountain was erupted for the first time in 1882 and caused many victims more than 4000 people. The second time this mountain was erupted in 1894 and caused victim more then 1000 people. And for the last time this mountain was erupted in 1982.
Based on the history of this mountain, but until now many people com to there for enjoying about the beautiful scenery and many other activities. If all of you want to go there, you can start from Tasikmalaya City about 2 hours on the way. All you can reach it by using motorcycle, car, or by using general transportation. As additional information Galunggung mountain is near to the Hot Spring Water, so you can go there while enjoying Hot Spring Water.
Now, if you want to enjoy the beautiful of Galunggung Crater you have to walk about 620 ladder steps above, it makes us tired I think. But all of that can be paid by the beautiful of its scenery. You will see the virgin environment, beautiful crater, beautiful water fall, and many more. All of that will make our soul refresh.
Beside all activities above, you have to try another activities such as: fishing on the crater, hanging out around mountain Galunggung area, enjoy the local food, and many more. One think that forbidden to do in there, you are not allowed to swim in the crater because it is very danger and will cause the death.
So, if have a plane for going holiday with your family or your best friends, it can be a right place to be visited and enjoyed. Talking about the cost, I think all of the people can reach it, so it is can be the best choice for the local tourists or foreign tourist.
